The Lore Project allows you to create something personal and meaningful to you and to see your unique project come to life in the hands of skilled artisans.
After many years working in fast paced creative settings I needed an antidote, a more mindful approach to retail, one that cares about and benefits the people who make the products, one that encourages a personal engagement with the creative process and that dares to go in a slower, more meaningful way.
The Lore Project celebrates the crafts and skills of Moroccan women handed down from generation to generation and honours those skills by paying the artisans directly without the need for a middleman
I live and work on the coast of North Norfolk and my studio sits close to the marshland and wilds of Blakeney point. I see this project as a merging of the inspiration I find from living here, my experience of Morocco and drawing on all my skills honed in interior brands like Habitat.
Two years ago I was lucky enough to engage with The Anou, a community project in Fes which put me in touch with artisan groups working in the Middle Atlas of Morocco.
I collaborate directly with these women to create my designs which ultimately you can make your own. Get creative and choose colours that suit your style and your home.
I hope you feel inspired to reach out and start your project. Fill in a form and lets go from there!
